By Werner Tillmetz on behalf of the organizing and scientific committee
Dear friend of the UECT,
I am delighted to invite you to the 16th Ulm ElectroChemical Talks (UECT), which will again be a unique opportunity to meet world leading experts in the field of batteries, fuel cells and other electrochemical energy technologies.
Driven by the globally fast growing e-mobility market, the production of Lithium Ion Cells will grow from 100 GWh today to at least 400 GWh within the next seven years. With this, topics like the availability of the needed raw materials, efficient recycling technologies, new active materials as well as advanced production methods become highly important. At the same time fuel cell vehicles start to gain momentum in the electric vehicle market, offering some areas of advantages over battery electric vehicles, like high range, fast refueling and less impact on critical materials.
Therefore the 2018 talks will focus on the topic of
Batteries and Fuel Cells – From Cradle to Cradle
and will take place in Ulm / Germany on
Tuesday, November 13th and Wednesday, November 14th, 2018.
The Ulm ElectroChemical Talks (UECT) 2018 will cover the whole range of these topics from materials to production, use and recycling batteries and fuel cells – from cradle to cradle. Invited, high level speakers will present their view and latest results on the related activities. A large variety of research topics will be presented in the poster session. Applications for poster presentations are welcome and will be reviewed by the scientific committee.
Looking forward to seeing you in Ulm,
Prof. Dr. Werner Tillmetz
